The French Brittany
The French Brittany originated in France in the 1700's when there was desire for a smaller more compact hunting dog that stayed close and did not push the game. This breed can be brought into a field where other dogs have just passed and still find game because of their meticulous methods of hunting. They are also teriffic companion dogs. They express a great deal of love for their owners and are wonderful with children. But get them into a field and thay are all business. They work hard for you and enjoy the hunt. They are the best of both worlds when looking for a hunting and companion dog.
